The shot on the Blog was taken up against…guess a what…a cream colored queen size blanket I picked up at Goodwill!

That was before I had the current background paper I use, which is the Bone color from Savage.

You just need to make sure your background has some color in it…as the textures won’t adhere to a white background!

Hi there – I love all of your stuff! I was just wondering if you have ever thought of doing a newborn posing video – or would be able to post a few behind the scenes shots of how you transition from pose to pose – or how to get them in position to start with? I am just starting out and have only done a few shoots so far and can master the basic poses, but can’t seem to transition the babies smoothly without waking them up to much! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I love your tutorials! I’m an aspiring photographer, a newbie, shooting practice sessions right now. I am doing a maternity shoot soon. I have the white backdrop, but I am wondering your range of distance between the lights, subject, and photographer? How far are the lights from the backdrop, how far is the subject away from the lights, and how far are you from the subject? We do not have a large area to shoot in, just a small apartment setting. Do you have any suggestions for me?
