Since Facebook has deleted the ‘Discussions Tab’ where I used to keep this information – I have decided to put it here.  This is information about where to obtain certain props and their prices. I hope you find some great savings here!

MOUSE PAD TYPE FLOORS

A very popular type of flooring prop right now are the one’s that are like large mouse pads. This means they roll up easily, store easily, and can even be put in the washer and dryer! They are a think rubber type of material, with an image on them…simply put…just like a over sized mouse pad. I’m going to list a few places you can buy them, along with pricing…as it varies quite a bit from place to place. I’m sure there are more places than I list…so chime in if you know of one. Especially if they have great pricing! I suggest the 44×66 size, and the pricing I list is for that size.

With tons of great choices, they carry a floor called ‘Candy Floors!’  I own about 5 of them, and absolutely LOVE them.  They are a very good quality for a really nice price.  They aren’t as nice as some of the mouse pad type of floors, as they are a bit, lets say, harder, meaning they are just not as flexible as some of the better mouse pad floors, but who cares!  The idea is to lay them flat!  I truly love these!

(Denny’s shipping literally stinks.  I’ve had three floors shipped to me (because they were wrong or damaged – I’ve only ordered one floor from them), and in every instance, they took over a month to get them to me – although I only paid $99 for my floor because it was on sale)

 

PUCK-STYLE BEANBAG FOR NEWBORN SHOOTS

There are a few places you can get the puck style bean bags from (yes, you do need a puck style for the newborn shots) They are all pretty much the same…so I would go for the best cost savings. Truly, one is not better than the other that I can see.

This is where I purchased mine from. They are $90 and come already filled.  Really can’t beat this deal.

Another is The Newborn Nest.  They are $89, but don’t come with the fill. You have to purchase that separately, and I think it takes 2-3 bags. I know you can buy bags of fill at Walmart for like $15, so be prepared to spend another $50 on fill.

ShootBaby sells them for $95…and do NOT include the fill.  Just like the Newborn Nest, you will have to spend another $50 on fill.

Skeeterbug sells theirs for $85 – not filled…so again, add $50 in filling.

WOOD LOOKING BACKDROPS

Here is the company that I purchase my Wood looking backdrops from. They have awesome Wallpaper ones as well! I am providing both their STORE website, and their eBay Store information.  These backdrops and floors are a Polypropylene Paper material, much like a vinyl table cloth with NO glare – even with strobes.  You CANNOT beat their pricing!!  BUT…they only ship 3-day (from China…so it’s just a bit longer, but still very quick)…and shipping is expensive!  But, your total bill will still be a lot less, even with the high shipping, when purchasing them from this company.
